Saklıkent is a ski resort in Antalya province. The highest point reached by the lifts is 2,350 m and the base is 1,889 m, giving a vertical drop of 461 m. The resort has 2 lifts. Snow depth comes from the measuring station of the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM); temperature, wind and new-snow forecasts come from the Open-Meteo model. The elevations are not the figures the resort advertises — they were measured from the lift lines.

Caution

The freezing level is above the summit as well: any precipitation will be rain, not snow.

Five-Day Forecast

These come from the ski resorts service of the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM). Unlike the snow depth measurement these values are a forecast; they change as the day approaches.

Runs, Lifts and Webcam

No weather service publishes live run and lift status — it exists only on the resort’s own channels.

Snow on the ground does not mean the resort is open; check the resort’s own announcement before you set off.

Hello everyone! Saklıkent’s most talked-about feature is a claim: swimming in the sea and skiing on the same day. It sounds exaggerated, but because the resort is very close to Antalya it is not entirely impossible. On this page I have gathered its conditions.

The range we measured is 1,889–2,350 metres, a drop of 461 metres. Its position on the Beydağları makes it possible to climb to 2,350 metres at a point this close to the Mediterranean coast.

Who It’s For

The resort is modest in scale; it is valuable as a day-skiing option for people living in and around Antalya. For an experienced skier it is not a reason to travel on its own, but if you are already in Antalya it is a day not to be missed.

When to Go

Because of its Mediterranean position the season is short and the snow situation variable. January–February is the safest period. At this resort in particular I would recommend not setting off without looking at the measured snow depth above.

Things to Know Before You Go

The snow is unstable.

Because of its southern position, conditions can change quickly even during the season.

We could not find an official operator site.

There is an independent local portal broadcasting live from the resort and we have put its link above; but this is not an official source and we do not label it as one.

The road is narrow and winding.

The climb into the Beydağları demands care in winter; winter tyres are essential.

Frequently asked questions

About Saklıkent

Is sea and ski on the same day really possible?
In theory yes, the resort is close to Antalya. In practice the road and the timing get tight; if you want it to be enjoyable, spreading it over two days is better.
Is snow guaranteed?
No. At a resort this close to the Mediterranean the snow situation changes from year to year and week to week.
Where does the snow depth information here come from?
It is the value measured by the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) at its station in the resort. New snow, the temperature difference and the snowmaking window are calculated from a model and labelled separately in the table.
