Hello everyone! Salda is a small ski resort sharing its name with Lake Salda in Burdur’s Yeşilova district. The lake is known for summer tourism; the skiing side is far quieter. On this page I have gathered its conditions.

The range we measured is 1,805–1,915 metres, a drop of 110 metres. That is the smallest drop among the 24 resorts we track. It is worth setting expectations accordingly from the start: this is not a place to ski all day moving between pistes.

Who It’s For

A single lift, a 110-metre drop. The scale suits beginners, anyone trying skiing for the first time, and families with children. If you live around Burdur, Denizli or Antalya it can be thought of as a day trip out in the snow. For an experienced skier the day fills up quickly.

When to Go

The base is at 1,805 metres. On the Mediterranean side that is not a bad elevation, but the region is mild overall; holding snow depends on the season and can vary from year to year. January–February is the most reasonable period. Checking the measured snow depth above before you set off is particularly useful here.

Is it in the same place as Lake Salda?

In the same district, Yeşilova. The ski resort and the lake itself are separate points; if you are planning to fit both into one day, check the road conditions in the winter months.

Can you do it as a day trip from Antalya?

We have no verified information about the distance, so I am not giving a travel time. But among the resorts reachable from the Mediterranean side, the one with the highest drop is Davraz; if you are setting off for the skiing alone, consider that one too.

Where does the snow depth information here come from?

It is the value measured by the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) at its station in the resort. New snow, the temperature difference and the snowmaking window are calculated from a model and labelled separately in the table.
