Hello everyone! Denizli Bozdağ is the only operating ski resort in the Aegean Region. The name causes confusion — there are three separate ski resorts in Turkey carrying the name “Bozdağ” — so let me make it clear at the start: this is the resort in the Tavas district, operated by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality. On this page I have gathered its conditions.

The range we measured is 1,898–2,297 metres, a drop of 399 metres. The resort runs 2 chairlifts, 1 ski tow and a magic carpet; there are 9 pistes totalling 13 kilometres.

A small note: the resort presents itself as 2,420 metres, while the highest lift endpoint we measured is 2,297 metres. All the elevations on this page are values measured from the endpoints of the lift lines — since we calculate the temperature from that point too, they need to be consistent.

How to Get There

You go up via Denizli, towards the Tavas district. For someone living in the Aegean this is the nearest skiing option; since the Bozdağ resort on the İzmir side has been closed since 2025, no alternative remains either.

When to Go

The season starts on 1 December and runs until 30 April. Because of the Aegean’s mild climate, conditions can vary during the season; the measured snow depth above really does decide things here.

Things to Know Before You Go

Do not confuse the three Bozdağs.

This one, in Denizli/Tavas, is active; the one in İzmir/Ödemiş has been closed since 11 January 2025; and the one in Karaman/Ermenek is a separate and very small facility.

Municipal operation is an advantage.

Prices stay accessible compared with private operators, and official information is published from a single source.

Being the only resort in the region makes weekends busy.

Can you go from İzmir?

You can, and it is currently the only option in the Aegean. The Bozdağ Ski Resort in Ödemiş was closed in 2025 and has not reopened.

When is the season?

1 December – 30 April. But the snow situation varies a great deal from year to year; do not set off without looking at the measured depth.

Where does the snow depth information here come from?

It is the value measured by the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) at its station in the resort. New snow, the temperature difference and the snowmaking window are calculated from a model and labelled separately in the table.
