Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how your personal data is processed when you visit advenway.com. It has been prepared under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and is the site's privacy notice under Article 10 of that Law. The rights of visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are set out separately below.
Data controller
Your personal data is processed by Nusret Berk Mertoğlu (Advenway) as data controller under Law No. 6698. Advenway is an independent sports and outdoor platform run by one person. Contact: iletisim@advenway.com.
What data do we collect?
Automatically collected data. When you visit the site, your browser automatically sends some technical information. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you visit, the time you spend on the site and the address you came from. Some of this data is collected through the analytics services named below.
Comment data. When you leave a comment on an article, the information you enter in the comment form, your IP address and your browser information are stored. This data is used to publish the comment and to screen for unwanted content.
Contact data. When you use the contact form, your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message and the address of the page you sent the form from are stored and forwarded to us by email. To prevent abuse, a key derived from your IP address is kept for one minute. When you contact us directly by email, the information you share is likewise processed only to respond to your request.
Race notification data. When you use the follow form on a race page, we store your email address, the race you follow, the page you filled in the form on, the text you agreed to, your IP address and the dates of sign-up and confirmation. Your sign-up becomes active once you confirm it through the link sent to your email. Your address is used only for notifications about that race, and every notification includes an unsubscribe link. When you follow a city or race type, we store the same details; in that case your address is used for notifications about the city or type you chose. When you ask for a conditions alert for a ski resort or windsurf spot, we store the same details together with the condition you chose; your address is used only for alerts we send when that condition occurs.
Checklist data. When you ask us to email you the checklist, we store your email address, the language of the form, the date of the request and the delivery status. Your address is used only for this email.
Organiser submission data. When you use the form for organisers, your name, email address, the race name, date, city and distances, the links you share and your note are stored and forwarded to us by email.
Correction report data. When you send a report from a race page, your email address, the topic you choose, your message and any source link are stored and forwarded to us by email. Your address is used only to get back to you about the correction.
Contribution form data. In the contribution forms on the diving and windsurf pages, we store your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message, any club or business name, any source you add and the page you sent the form from; this may also be forwarded to us by email. To prevent abuse, a key derived from your IP address is kept for up to one hour.

Third-party services
The following third-party services are used on the site. These services are subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — used for visit statistics; loaded when the page opens, and places cookies in your browser.
- Yandex Metrica (Yandex) — used for visit statistics and a click map; loaded when the page opens, and places cookies in your browser. The Webvisor feature, which records visitor sessions, is turned off.
- Google Fonts (Google) — the site's fonts are loaded from Google's servers; your IP address is sent to Google when this happens.
- Map tiles — on pages with maps, map images are loaded from Esri (ArcGIS) and OpenStreetMap servers; your IP address is sent to these services when this happens.
- Instagram (Meta) — images of the Instagram posts on the home page are loaded from Meta's servers.
- Social media links — links to content on Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube
- Hosting — the service provider that runs the site's server infrastructure
Your data is shared with the hosting provider and these services to the extent needed for the purposes above. Some of these services have servers outside Turkey: your IP address and visit information go directly to these providers when the page loads, and are processed on their infrastructure under their own policies. You can block the analytics services that use cookies in your browser.
How long we keep data
Comments and their associated data are kept until the comment is deleted. Analytics data is kept for the periods set by the relevant service. There is no automatic deletion period for contact, checklist, organiser, correction report and contribution records or for email correspondence: they are deleted manually once no longer needed after the request is resolved, or sooner if you ask. Race notification and conditions alert sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for them to be deleted. When you unsubscribe, your sign-up is deleted within one day at the latest. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. Your IP address is deleted one year after sign-up.
Your rights under KVKK
To exercise your rights under Article 11 of the Law, write to iletisim@advenway.com. Requests are answered within 30 days at the latest and, as a rule, free of charge. If the answer is inadequate or you get none, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
Visitors from the EEA and the United Kingdom (GDPR)
If you visit the site from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to ask for its processing to be restricted, to receive your data in a portable format, to object to processing and to withdraw any consent you have given at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. You can send your requests to iletisim@advenway.com.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top of the page is updated.
