Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
This privacy policy explains how your personal data is processed when you visit advenway.com. It has been prepared under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). The rights of visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are set out separately below.
What data do we collect?
Automatically collected data. When you visit the site, your browser automatically sends some technical information. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you visit, the time you spend on the site and the address you came from. Some of this data is collected through the analytics services named below.
Comment data. When you leave a comment on an article, the information you enter in the comment form, your IP address and your browser information are stored. This data is used to publish the comment and to screen for unwanted content.
Contact data. When you use the contact form, your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message and the address of the page you sent the form from are stored and forwarded to us by email. To prevent abuse, a key derived from your IP address is kept for one minute. When you contact us directly by email, the information you share is likewise processed only to respond to your request.
Race notification data. When you use the follow form on a race page, we store your email address, the race you follow, the page you filled in the form on, the text you agreed to, your IP address and the dates of sign-up and confirmation. Your sign-up becomes active once you confirm it through the link sent to your email. Your address is used only for notifications about that race, and every notification includes an unsubscribe link.
What do we use the data for?
- To make sure the site works properly
- To understand which content people find useful and to improve it
- To handle your contact and race notification requests
- To detect and fix technical problems
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

- Yandex Metrica (Yandex) — used for visit statistics and a click map; places cookies in your browser. The Webvisor feature, which records visitor sessions, is turned off.
- Google Fonts (Google) — the site's fonts are loaded from Google's servers; your IP address is sent to Google when this happens.
- Map tiles — on pages with maps, map images are loaded from Esri (ArcGIS) and OpenStreetMap servers; your IP address is sent to these services when this happens.
- Instagram (Meta) — images of the Instagram posts on the home page are loaded from Meta's servers.

These services' servers may be located outside Turkey; the data is processed on their own infrastructure and under their own policies.
How long we keep data
Comments and their associated data are kept until the comment is deleted. Analytics data is kept for the periods set by the relevant service. Contact form messages and email correspondence are kept for a reasonable period after the request has been resolved. Race notification sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for them to be deleted.
