Tekir Gate

Tekir Gate is one of the four main ski entrances on Mount Erciyes. Its current form took shape as Erciyes was planned and developed as a winter tourism destination. Plans under the Erciyes master plan were approved in 2010; in 2011, some buildings in the Tekir area were allocated to Erciyes A.Ş. for use as social facilities. These records mark steps in the development of the modern ski resort infrastructure at Tekir; on their own, they do not show exactly when the area first opened.

According to the official Kayseri Erciyes facilities page, Tekir is one of the two entrances with a gondola. The gondola also gives visitors who are not skiing a way to reach higher parts of the mountain and enjoy the views. Since facilities may depend on weather and daily operations, check before you visit.

Tekir is listed as having a magic carpet and ski lessons for beginners. Equipment rental is also available in the area.
