Develi Gate

Develi Gate is one of the four main ski entrances in the Erciyes Master Plan. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality council decisions from 2012 refer to it as the “Develi Gate Main Ski Entrance Area”; plans for tourism facilities and shared-use areas were discussed at the time. The 2013 activity report says the connection between the Develi Gate stations and the hotels area at Tekir Pond was completed. I could not find an official source giving the gate’s exact opening date.

The Kültepe, Kaniş and Kartın lifts are around Develi Gate. The official Erciyes facilities table also lists a 150-metre Develi BabyLift. This short line may suit beginners practising their first turns and basic skills. The municipality has also announced that construction has begun on a magic carpet at Develi Gate, with completion targeted before the 2026–27 season.

Food and drink options listed at the gate include Radisson Blu Cafe & Restaurant, Magna Apex Cafe & Restaurant and Das Apres Cafe & Restaurant. Equipment rental is available around the Erciyes entrance areas; anyone looking for lessons can consider Snow Academia at the resort. During the season, shuttle services run between all four gates on weekends and during the school mid-year break, including Develi.

Develi Gate is practical for beginners who want a short learning slope and for visitors who want equipment rental and places to eat in the same area. Seasonal shuttles also make it easier to move to the other gates. Check which runs and facilities are open before you go, as operations can change with conditions.
