Adana
Running Club

The story of Adana Running Club begins in 2015, when a group who wanted to run together came together over WhatsApp. Over time that gathering turned into a more organised structure and today it is one of Adana's long-standing running communities.

No single type of
training

There is no single type of training in ARC's programme. They hold 5K and 10K easy runs on the Yaşar Kemal Running and Walking Course, city runs stretching from 10K to 20K at weekends, and interval and tempo work on athletics tracks. Forming different distance and pace groups on city runs according to turnout also makes it easier for runners of different levels to join the same session.

One of the community's striking sides is its relationship with race events. The team tries to smooth the process for members entering different races by preparing things like registration, transport and accommodation. Beyond that, Adana Running Club plays an active role in making Varda Ultra Trail happen, held around the Taurus mountains and the Varda Bridge. With 14K, 27K and ultra distances, the event has become one of Adana's important trail races.

If you want to run regularly in Adana, try different types of training or prepare for races with a team, you can follow ARC's current running programme and events on their Instagram account.

On city runs, different distance and pace groups are formed according to turnout.
