Swimming season at Narlıkuyu — Akyar

A cove where fresh water flowing from beneath the Heaven-Hell (Cennet-Cehennem) caves mixes with the sea — which is why the water is both very clear and noticeably cold. The seabed is sandy and rocky; diving is possible to 14 meters toward the mouth of the cove (in the direction of Kızkalesi) and to 8–12 meters further inside. There is no sandy beach, but you can enter the sea from among the rocks.

When to go Summer months; especially favored by those wanting to cool off, thanks to the cold water.
Who it suits For those wanting to cool off in the heat and divers wanting to experience clear, cold water; not suitable for those expecting a sandy beach.
