Swimming season at Gökçeada

Gökçeada is sought out by diving enthusiasts for its deep blue, clear sea, where visibility, according to some sources, can reach up to 27 meters — a significant difference compared to the Sea of Marmara's visibility of around 1-1.5 meters. Kuzu Limanı and Aydıncık (Kefaloz) Koyu are reported to have wreck remains dating back to World War I, while species such as coral fish and moray eel are noted to be seen in the underwater national park.
