About this site

A Turkish Coast Guard vessel laid down at Taşkızak Shipyard in 1982 and launched in 1983. She served in many operations, including the Kardak crisis, and was decommissioned in 2016. In 2017 she was sunk to 30 metres near Eşek Island as part of an artificial reef project. She is not a war wreck but a ship deliberately sunk for dive tourism.

Diving rules

Underwater cultural assets are covered by Turkish Law no. 2863. Diving at these sites is done only through authorized dive centers and in line with the published rules.
