About this site

A reservoir built on the Kızılırmak between 1959 and 1966 for irrigation and power. It is about 29-30 metres deep and there is no mud on the bottom, which makes it suitable for freshwater diving. It lies about 70 km from Ankara and is counted among the few freshwater dive sites in Central Anatolia.

Diving rules

Underwater cultural assets are covered by Turkish Law no. 2863. Diving at these sites is done only through authorized dive centers and in line with the published rules.
